Mingles Walk - Sugar Loaf 2008

Return to Mingles Page

On 7th June 2008, Mingles took the short route up Sugar Loaf mountain, although it was hard work! Alicia and Charlie lead the way up the hill.

At the top we were rewarded with spectacular views; we could even see the River Severn. The weather was perfect - blue skies but enough of a breeze not to get too hot with some spectacular sunbeams through the occasional clouds.

The boys (Charlie, Harry, Michael and Josh) lead the way down (at speed) then got bored waiting at the bottom! Bagpipes were also played at the top (not by us), which was somewhat unexpected, but very pleasant - and the sheep joined in as well. On returning to the bottom, we had a picnic snack tea and some games, frisbee and football, then spent a good while trying unsuccessfully to retrieve the frisbee from a tree (it was a very good throw!).
