This year the chosen location was Erlyon campsite, on the edge of Llandovery. Three caravans this time and several tents. The campsite was very accomodating and allowed us to pitch in a big group. On the Friday, most participants went for a walk while Rich and Mat set up the croquet and other games!

On the Saturday we ventured down to the coast to visit Pembrey Park. We had a picnic, then a ride on the narrow guage railway. Several playgrounds kept adults and children busy, and then we ventured onto the beach. It was very very windy - in fact too windy to fly the kites, so when the compulsory paddling had been done, we headed back for a chinese take away tea at the campsite.

It was a bit windy overnight and we were awakened to the gazebo blowing onto Caroline's tent! The weather on Sunday was good, but we chose to go underground by visiting Dolgellau Gold Mines. All but Beatrice were allowed to go on the tour underground, but she was kept busy panning for gold at the top. On the way back, we visited a ruined Abbey.

A generous bar-be-que was prepared and enjoyed by all while the children played various games like quoites, boule etc.
For Monday, we had a picnic at a national trust house. Those that had to head off early then departed whilst Luke, Alicia, and Beatrice made the most of the light breeze to fly kites on the field.
